Rebel Beauty Studio LLC DBA Rebel Skincare ("Rebel Skincare," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit rebelskincare.com, shop with us, join our rewards or affiliate programs, take our skin quiz, or book a Skin Snapshot consultation, and how we use, share and protect it. We sell and ship within the United States only.

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which processes your personal information on our behalf to provide our online store. Your information is shared with Shopify and with the other third parties described below, some of which may be located in other countries. To learn more about how Shopify uses your information, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You can also make requests and manage privacy choices with Shopify through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Orders and account: name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number (if provided), order history and Subscribe & Save details. Payment card details are handled by our payment processors; we don't store full card numbers.
• Email sign-ups: your email address and marketing preferences.
• Rewards, reviews and affiliates: rewards activity, reviews and photos you submit, and affiliate program details if you join.
• Skin quiz: your answers to our online skin quiz.
• Skin Snapshot consultations: intake form answers (including skin concerns, routine, goals and any optional health or medication information), booking and payment details, your Zoom consultation, and its recording.
• Messages: anything you send us by email or through our contact form.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our site, we and our partners collect device and usage information, such as IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, pages viewed, products viewed or added to your cart, purchases, and how you arrived at our site. We do this using cookies, pixels and similar technologies from Shopify, Google (Google Analytics and Google tags), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Pinterest, Klaviyo, Shogun, Firework, Judge.me, UpPromote and our rewards providers.

How we use your information

• To process orders, subscriptions, shipping, returns and refunds
• To provide customer service
• To run our rewards program, reviews, skin quiz and affiliate program
• To provide your Skin Snapshot consultation and written summary
• To send marketing emails if you've subscribed. We typically send several emails per month, and you can unsubscribe anytime using the link in any email. We don't send marketing text messages.
• To understand how our site is used and improve it
• To measure our marketing and, now or in the future, to advertise on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Google and Pinterest, including showing ads to people who have visited our website or interacted with us
• To prevent fraud, protect our business and comply with the law

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information for money. We share it with service providers that help us run our business:

• Store, checkout and payments: Shopify, the Shop app, our checkout payment processors, and Stripe
• Shipping: carriers such as USPS
• Email marketing: Klaviyo
• Rewards, reviews, quiz and affiliates: LINE Loyalty, Smile.io (while we transition), Judge.me, RevenueHunt and UpPromote
• Site features and analytics: Shogun, Firework and Google Analytics
• Skin Snapshot: Google Forms (intake form), Calendly (scheduling), Stripe (payment), Zoom (video consultation) and Fathom (recording, transcription and notes)

Advertising and analytics partners. Our site uses tools from Meta, Google and Pinterest that collect information about your visits, such as pages viewed, products added to your cart and purchases. This information may be sent from your browser and from our store's servers, and it can include scrambled (hashed) contact information, such as your email address, to help match visits to accounts. These partners use it for measurement and advertising, under their own privacy policies.

Shopify Network Intelligence. We use Shopify Network Intelligence, which lets Shopify use information from our store, together with information from other Shopify stores and services, to improve its products and services, including ad targeting and personalization. Other merchants can't see our store's information. You can opt out of this use, and of sharing for targeted advertising, on our Data Sharing Opt-Out page or through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Under some state laws, sharing information with advertising partners and Shopify Network Intelligence may count as a "sale," "sharing" or "targeted advertising." You can opt out at any time (see "Your privacy choices").

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.

Skin Snapshot recordings

• Recording: sessions are recorded with Fathom so Nikki can take notes and prepare your written summary. Nikki asks for your consent at the start of your call, before recording begins.
• Marketing use: selected portions may be used for educational, promotional or social media purposes only if you give permission during your consultation. Not every session is used, and if you decline, no part of your session is used for marketing.
• Identifying content: content showing your face, voice, name or other identifying information is used only with your separate written media release.
• Health information: personal health or medication information is never shared publicly.
• Retention: we keep recordings for consultation records and, with your permission, possible marketing use, and we don't currently have a fixed deletion schedule. You can ask us to delete your recording at any time. If a clip was published with your permission, we'll remove it from our own channels when we can, but we can't always remove copies others have already shared.

Health information

The Skin Snapshot intake form includes optional questions about health conditions and medications. You can skip them or discuss them on your call. We use this information only to prepare for and provide your consultation. We don't use it for advertising, sell it, or share it except with the service providers that host your intake form and consultation. Intake answers are collected on a separate form and are not sent to our advertising partners.

Your privacy choices

• Opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising: visit our Data Sharing Opt-Out page, also linked as "Your privacy choices" in our website footer, to opt out for your browser and, optionally, your customer account.
• Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and targeted advertising, where applicable.
• Cookie consent: visitors from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through our cookie banner and can change their choice at any time. If you decline, our advertising and analytics tags from Meta, Google and Pinterest, and Shopify's own analytics and marketing tracking, don't run. Some tools that provide site features, such as our rewards program, affiliate referral tracking, reviews and page-building tools, may still store identifiers on your device. You can also manage privacy choices with Shopify through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
• Browser controls: you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work without them. Our site doesn't respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
• Marketing emails: unsubscribe anytime using the link in any email.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know and access the personal information we have about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your personal information
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising
• Withdraw consent for future marketing use of your Skin Snapshot content
• Appeal our decision about your request

To make a request, email customercare@rebelskincare.net. We may need to verify your identity, and an authorized agent may make a request on your behalf where the law allows. We won't discriminate against you for using your rights.

How deletion works. When we receive a verified deletion request, we:

• Submit an erasure request in Shopify, which removes your personal information from our store records and notifies the connected apps that received it. If you've placed an order in the past six months, Shopify completes the erasure after that six-month period, to allow for returns, refunds and chargebacks.
• Separately delete your information from services that aren't connected to our store, including Google Forms (Skin Snapshot intake answers), Calendly (bookings), Zoom and Fathom (consultation recordings and notes), and our email inbox, and ask our other service providers, such as Klaviyo and our rewards provider, to do the same.
• Keep only what the law requires or allows, such as order, payment and tax records, and records needed to resolve disputes. Payment processors such as Stripe may also keep transaction records under their own legal obligations.

Deletion by our service providers follows their own processes and timelines, and deleted information may remain in secure backups for a limited time until it's overwritten. We'll let you know when your request is complete, or explain why part of it can't be completed.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described here, such as fulfilling orders, keeping business and tax records, resolving disputes and meeting legal requirements. After that, we delete or anonymize it. Skin Snapshot recordings are described above.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

Our site and products aren't directed to children under 13, and the Skin Snapshot is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date.
